ThyrocareTechnologies, leading Indian diagnostics chain and one of the first private-sector labs approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to conduct to COVID-19 tests in the country, has slashed its service charges to make it affordable to the needy.
With effect from 7th April 2020, the laboratory has made the COVID –19 PCR test much more affordable at Rs. 3,500 to customers and Rs 1,800 to Hospitals for already collected samples.
“Being a leading diagnostic laboratory in India, it is our responsibility to make it accessible and affordable to everyone in India,” said Dr A. Velumani, Chairman and Managing director of Thyrocare Technologies Ltd, in a statement.
Currently, Thyrocare services at this reduced cost are available within 300 km radius of its Mumbai-based state of the art laboratory. Soon, the lab plans to start pan India sample collection network based on the lockdown restrictions, the company informed.
According to ICMR guideline, a valid prescription from a doctor will be needed to book the test. The doorstep collection service now costs Rs 3500 to the customer instead of the existing price of Rs 4,500. Also, the lab has made COVID 19 test available at Rs. 1,800 to Hospitals for already collected samples. The offer for institutions for group collection in batches is Rs 2500 per person.
In addition, Thyrocare has also started mobile ambulance collection service at Rs. 2,500, where a mobile ambulance will be available at public places for sample collection.
