India’s COVID tally close to 4.3 million; 1125 deaths on MondaySeptember 8, 2020 0 By FM
India reported 75,809 fresh COVID-19 infections on Monday. The fatalities soared to 1,125, taking the total toll to 72,838. With the new cases reported on Monday, the country’s SARS CoV-2 infection tally has gone up to 42,80,422. Of this, 8,829,73 are active cases at present and 33,219,51 have been recovered, according to the Health Ministry data.
Maharashtra’s COVID tally currently stands at 9,236,41 of which 2,372,92 are active cases. The total recoveries reported from the state stands at 6,593,22. The COVID-19 tally of Andhra Pradesh has crossed the five lakh mark and reached 5,06,493 on Monday with 8,368 new infections reported in the past day.
Globally, India has the second-highest number of COVID-19 cases now after the US, which has reported 6,485,575 cases so far.
