India reported 46,033 fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. The new cases pushed the cumulative caseload of the nation farther to 83,12,947 of which the total active infections add up to 5,33,027. The number of patients recovered from the disease has risen to 76,54,757 with 53,328 patients getting cured/discharged yesterday. The number of fatalities due to pandemic mounted to 1,23,650 in all with 510 recent death reported in the past 24 hrs.
The daily-COVID-19 positive cases continued to show an increasing trend in Kerala and Delhi which reported the highest number of incidences on Tuesday standing over 6000 mark.
Kerala reported 6,862 new cases on Tuesday pushing its case tally to 4,51,131. The active infections of the state stood at 84,718 with 3,64,745 patients turning negative for the virus infection and 1,560 succumbing to it. As many as 8,802 patients were discharged yesterday and 26 lost their lives to the infection.
Delhi, on Tuesday, saw fresh COVID-19 incidences at 6,725 taking the case tally to 4,03,096. The active infections stood at 36,375. With 3,610 patients getting cured/discharged yesterday the overall recoveries rose to 3,60,069. The death toll mounted to 6,652 with 48 new deaths from the virus infection.
Maharashtra saw fresh cases at 4,909 on Tuesday as opposed to 6,973 recoveries. The new cases took its total caseload to 16,92,693 as the active infection remained at 1,16,543. The total recoveries stood at 15,31,277 and the deaths have reached 44,248 so far.
West Bengal added 3,981 new cases yesterday. The states’ total caseload stood at 3,85,589 and the active infections at 36,443. As many as 3,42,133 patients have been recovered from the infection so far while 7,013 lost lives.
Meanwhile, the daily COVID-19 cases appeared to show a declining trend in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Karnataka added 2,756 new cases on Tuesday. The overall cases in the state have climbed 8,32,396 with the active cases descending to 40,395. The total recoveries rose to 7,80,735 and the death toll has reached 11,247.
With 2,849 new cases Andhra Pradesh’s casetally rose to 8,30,731 with the active cases declining to 21,672. The total recoveries stood at 8,02,325 and the total deaths at 6,734.
