KIMSHealth sets up Rs 300cr facility

KIMS Health, Thiruvananthapuram, a multi-specialty hospital, is setting up a new tower of nearly 4.6 lakh sq. ft. area on 10 floors by investing Rs 300 crore.

The new building will be the centre for all transplant programmes for kidney, liver, heart and lungs. It will be developed as a centre of excellence for normal and high-risk delivery, foetal medicine and perinatology, advanced cardiac and neurosurgery and paediatric cardiac surgery.

“The new facility is environment-friendly, and it has been built in accordance with the LEED Platinum standards,” Dr M I Sahadulla, group chairman & managing director, Kimshealth, said at a press briefing.

The facility will also house a modern, 30-bedded neonatology department, neonatal ICU and related services, highly specialised dermatology and cosmetology and plastic surgery centre with separate entrance, a second radiology unit consisting of MRI, SPECT scan and advanced ultrasound machines, a wellness centre with fast-track consultation and an immunization service for all age groups.
